Waanderlust Project--Phase III | Thursday, September 29, 2011

This phase of the project was winding down, so in the coming days I planned mostly to work on wrapping up the various tasks still underway--varnish and trim.

First, though, I installed the new head platform.  I used epoxy adhesive and screws to secure the platform to the wooden cleats I installed earlier, then installed an epoxy fillet and tabbing where the platform met the hull along its outer edge.

Afterwards, I sanded, vacuumed, solvent-washed, tacked off, and finally varnished the companionway trim, toerails, and various small trim parts.
