The final step before being ready for the deck topcoats was to mask off the nonskid field areas, to demark the areas requiring gloss topcoat and prevent unnecessary overspray and additional work later.   I left 1-1/2" wide borders around deck edges, channels, protuberances, and other areas as dictated by function and appearance.


         

         

         

         


With the masking complete, I performed a final solvent wash using the proprietary Alexseal wipe-down solvent, and prepared materials and spray equipment for the work ahead.
