I continued the base varnish buildup in the cabin in the usual way:  sanding, cleaning, and applying the next coat.  This would be it for now, as I'd need to shift my focus to the painting prep, but the next coat (s) would be in the final satin-finish varnish.

On deck, I removed the paper and tape that had been protecting parts of the cockpit and sidedeck, then removed electrical cords and lighting from the cabin to clear the decks of clutter.  After vacuuming and solvent-washing the deck areas, I began masking various areas, starting with several cockpit hatches and the forward hatch.  I'd continue--and finish--the final preparations next time.
