With fine, unseasonal weather outdoors, it was the perfect opportunity to complete various winterizing tasks on other boats in my care, and other outdoor chores around the shop, which consumed much of the day.  During two separate work sessions, however, I got  a few things done inside.

The toerails were done for now, so I removed the masking tape.

In the cabin, I prepared several areas for their first coat of varnish, mainly the newer trim pieces I'd installed over the past weeks.    After cleaning and masking as needed, I applied a sealer coat of varnish to these areas to catch them up with the adjacent panels and other sections; I'd begin the varnish buildup in earnest next time.

Meanwhile, I prepared to move ahead with the installation of the two through hulls required--drains for the head and galley sinks.  As usual, I planned to use bronze fittings and Groco's unique adapter flange plates for these installations.

To begin, I fabricated backing blocks of 3/4" G-10 fiberglass, drilling the holes for the through hull fitting and cutting the material to fit the flanged adapters.  Later, I'd locate and secure these in the boat.
