Continuing on the new forward hatch platform, I removed the clamps and sanded the new fiberglass smooth as needed to remove any excess adhesive, inside and out.

Later, I cut and installed a layer of biaxial tabbing over the top of the new material, tying the extensions into the main part of the hatch coaming.  Inside, I also installed a layer of the tabbing on the inside, securing the new extensions to the lower sections of the inside of the opening.  I let the 4" tabbing run wild over the inside of the opening and lower edges of the cabin liner inside for later trimming.

After sanding the areas where I'd applied fine fairing compound last time, which, as usual, took longer than I'd hoped, I cleaned up the boat and prepared various areas for additional attention, namely the cockpit sole, around the new gutter drains in the cockpit seats, the coaming blocks, and mast partners.  As needed, I applied new fairing compound to bring these final areas closer to their final stages.
