Sailmaster 131 | Tuesday, October 1, 2013

Now that the finish on the toerails was complete and had had several days to cure, I removed the masking tape from the hull and deck, then continued with the remaining masking and other preparations required for high-build primer.  I masked over the newly-finished toerails, which completed the deck areas, then prepared various loose hatches and other bits that I'd be priming as well.

With basic preparations complete, I washed down the shop, prepared paint and spray materials, and finished up with a final solvent wash of hull and deck, this time with the manufacturer's proprietary solvent for this purpose.
