Before beginning any work, I took a series of photos of the existing deck, highlighting various areas of its overall condition and, more specifically, to aid in future location of the deck hardware at a later stage of the project.  I'll post a series of these "before" photos presently.

Meanwhile, Heidi worked for a couple hours to remove some of the fussier bits of hardware, including the cockpit locker lids and hinges, a series of snaps for the dodger, and the handrails.
