The hull paint had cured for a sufficient amount of time, so I spent part of the morning taping off the top of the boot top and then covering the remaining hull above with plastic and paper to protect from overspray.


    

    


I solvent-washed the boottop and then spray-applied four coats of Alexseal 442 white finish primer to the area over a period of a couple hours.  I left this to cure for the remainder of the day and overnight.
