I spent the first part of the morning striking what would become the top edge of the boottop (and the lower edge of the hull color).  I struck the new line to create a visual height of 2" for the new stripe, and masked the area beneath the new line.

(Note:  the lower edge of the new tape is not indicative of the lower edge of the stripe, but is simply covering the exposed area down to and beneath the preexisting waterline mark I created earlier.)


         
Sorry--a picture I took of the starboard bow at this stage didn't come out.


After the usual final preparations, cleaning, and tack-off, I applied three coats of Alexseal flag blue gloss topcoat to the hull.
