I began by sanding the filler I'd applied to the hull at the end of last week.  Afterwards, I cleaned the areas and applied a second coat of the filler as needed.

I sanded the new fiberglass on the keel repair, then applied a coat of fairing filler to begin the smoothing process.

Next, I struck a new waterline (i.e. top of the bottom paint).  Using reference measurements I'd taken prior to sanding last week, I set up level boards at stem and stern at the appropriate height, about 1/2" higher than the line I'd removed, then used a level string between the two to mark the new line.

With the line marked, I applied masking tape and paper all the way around.  I'd strike the new boottop later in the process, once finish primer had been applied.

Hoping to proceed with high-build primer tomorrow afternoon, I cleaned up the shop and made other preparations for spraying.  In the morning, I'd have to sand the hull filler once more and do my final cleanup and prep before spraying later in the day.
