After a final test-fit of the cabin sole, I permanently installed it on the new fiberglass cleats.  I set the sole in a bed of thickened epoxy adhesive, clamped it securely in place, and filled the gaps around the edges with additional epoxy.

While the cabin sole cured, I concentrated on work outside the boat.  I removed all the tape from around the deck hardware holes, now that the hole filling was complete.  Next, I washed and sanded the exterior through hull patches, and after solvent-washing applied the first coat of fairing compound over the patches.

I spent the remainder of the day in the woodshop sanding (120-220) the bulkheads and other pieces that I'd removed yesterday, completing the preliminary sanding of all the loose pieces.  Then, I cleaned up the area, and set out all the large, flat bulkhead and plywood pieces for cleaning and application of a first sealer coat of varnish, thereby getting the long varnish process underway in earnest.
