Ensign #1212 | Thursday, May 15, 2014

To begin, I removed clamps and temporary blocking from around the new bulkhead, and cleaned up the area to prepare for new work.  Then, I cut sections of tabbing--6" and 4" widths--to fit around the perimeters of both bulkheads, inside and out, labeling the pieces and setting them aside as I went.

After a final vacuum and solvent-wash, I applied epoxy fillets around the bulkhead edges where they met the hull, deck, and other adjacent structures.

After a short break to allow time for the fillets to partially cure, I installed the biaxial tabbing, set in epoxy resin:  two layers in all areas.
