1975 Dufour 27 Refit | Tuesday, November 11, 2008

I began sanding the hull first thing in the morning, but the primer simply wasn't ready to sand yet, with only 18 hours' or so cure time so far.  This put a damper on my plans for the day, but fortunately I was able to rearrange an appointment that I'd originally scheduled for the next day, so while waiting for the primer to continue curing I was able to take care of other obligations.

Late in the afternoon, upon my return to the shop, the primer had cured sufficiently, so in the interest of trying to stay on schedule I sanded the hull with 220 grit.  As expected, a number of pinholes made their existence known, so after cleaning up the dust from sanding, I applied Alexseal filler to fill the pinholes and left it to cure overnight.
