The day's first order of business was to reinstall the four deadlights in the saloon.  I'd arranged a helper for this chore, as there was no way to accomplish the task alone.

Once all four deadlights were successfully reinstalled, I cleaned up the mess and excess sealant from the installation.

    
         

         



Next, I temporarily removed some of the staging around the boat for better access, and solvent-washed the bottom to prepare it for paint.  I masked off the lower edge of the boottop, and then applied two coats of red antifouling paint to the bottom over the course of the afternoon.
