I started this morning by working on a fourth iteration of the toerail design.  My initial thoughts had been that the versions I'd come up with yesterday were a bit heavy in appearance, causing me to create a scaled-down version at the end of the day.  It still wasn't quite the right look, however, and after some phone consultation I started work on another version that combined some of the appearance qualities of the first, curvaceous version with the general scale of the third version.

Eventually, I ended up milling a 1/2" roundover on the bottom edge, a 3/4" roundover on the top edge, and kept the overall height at 1-1/2" , with about 3/4" height above deck and a 5/8" flat on top.  I thought this design had some potential, if not necessarily the final thing.

Later in the day, I continued work on the aft cockpit trim; the epoxy was cured, so I unclamped the piece and sanded it smooth, then test-fit it in place.  Before final installation, I wanted to apply at least a coat of varnish.

I spent the rest of the day applying Bilgekote to the large empty bow compartment and the inside of the hull in the cabin, where I planned to install the ceiling later.  As always, this simple (if time-consuming) task made an immediate improvement to the appearance of these raw areas.
