Blue Teal | Thursday, July 25, 2013

Picking up where I left off, I prepared the starboard overhead and previously-cut pieces of cork with contact cement and installed the section I'd begun earlier.

While waiting for the cement to tack up for installation, I installed an aluminum sacrificial strip on the wooden anchor platform to protect it from thundering chain.

During the remainder of the day, I cut and fitted and installed the cork over the remaining part of the after main cabin, as far forward as the arch.  Working by way back and forth from one side to the other, I'd template and cut a section, prepare the glue, and, while waiting for the glue to tack would work on the opposite side doing the same process, till eventually the area was covered.
